Fading Memory and the Problem of Approximating Nonlinear Operators with Volterra Series

چکیده
Ahsfract-Using the notion of fading memory we prove very strong versions of two folk theorems. The first is that any time-inuariant (TZ) con~inuou.r nonlinear operator can be approximated by a Volterra series operator, and the second is that the approximating operator can be realized as a finiiedimensional linear dynamical system with a nonlinear readout map. While previous approximation results are valid over finite time inlero& and for signals in compact sets, the approximations presented here hold for all time and for signals in useful (noncompact) sets. The discretetime analog of the second theorem asserts that nny TZ operator with fading memory can be approximated (in our strong sense) by a nonlinear movingaverage operator. Some further discussion of the notion of fading memory is given.

The combined reproducing kernel method and Taylor series for solving nonlinear Volterra-Fredholm integro-differential equations
In this letter, the numerical scheme of nonlinear Volterra-Fredholm integro-differential equations is proposed in a reproducing kernel Hilbert space (RKHS). The method is constructed based on the reproducing kernel properties in which the initial condition of the problem is satised. The nonlinear terms are replaced by its Taylor series. In this technique, the nonlinear Volterra-Fredholm integro...
متن کاملA Note on the Connection Between Incremental Input-to-State Stability and Fading Memory in Nonlinear Systems
Recently, Angeli1 has proposed the concept of incremental input-to-state stability, which can be viewed as an extension of the well-known input-to-state stability to the context of incremental stability. In this note, we show how the concept is connected with fading memory that has played a central role in the problem of uniformly approximating input-output nonlinear maps. Specifically, we show...
متن کاملConvergence of Numerical Method For the Solution of Nonlinear Delay Volterra Integral Equations
In this paper, Solvability nonlinear Volterra integral equations with general vanishing delays is stated. So far sinc methods for approximating the solutions of Volterra integral equations have received considerable attention mainly due to their high accuracy. These approximations converge rapidly to the exact solutions as number sinc points increases. Here the numerical solution of nonlinear...
متن کاملA Generalization of the Meir-Keeler Condensing Operators and its Application to Solvability of a System of Nonlinear Functional Integral Equations of Volterra Type
In this paper, we generalize the Meir-Keeler condensing operators via a concept of the class of operators $ O (f;.)$, that was given by Altun and Turkoglu [4], and apply this extension to obtain some tripled fixed point theorems. As an application of this extension, we analyze the existence of solution for a system of nonlinear functional integral equations of Volterra type. Finally, we p...
متن کاملNonlinear Analysis of a Power Amplifier inc C Band and Load Pull Technique Calculation USING VOLTERRA SERIES
In recent years, nonlinear circuit analysis techniques have been extensively investigated. One of the most important reasons is the application development of solid-state devices at microwave frequencies. Different methods have been used to analysis large signal behavior of these devices. In this paper load-pull curves (one of design requirement) are obtained using Volterra series. The main adv...
